Petra's offbeat stories about accidental fame in Japan have gained momentum at The Moth, where she's performed for the MainStage in Aspen, CO and Austin, TX, and at dozens of story slams in New York City. Performing and teaching storytelling at UC Berekely and at Dave Egger's writing program, 826 Valencia has become a main passion. Petra also founded The B/Sider, a live storytelling series and podcast to inspire “midults” to re-imagine themselves as life-long creators with a story the world needs to hear.
